At this time of social isolation and distancing, Amanda is offering an opportunity for choirs and congregations to sing, have fun and connect. In “typical” times, Amanda travels around the country, offering workshops intended to cultivate deeper relationship with ourselves, one another and God. With quarantine in effect, a number of communities reached out to Amanda to ask for her help in finding creative ways to sing together. Diving into Zoom technology, Amanda devised a series of devotionals meant to invite singing, reflection and fellowship. It’s a lot of work for choir directors and pastors to keep members engaged at this time. Amanda hopes to shoulder some of that sacred task through the Still We Sing™ series. The devotionals and workshops below are offered in the hopes that churches and choirs in need of inspiration and reconnection, will be able to take part. Additional devotionals can be added or tailored for each specific community (sometimes with an additional expense depending on what is needed). For more information or to inquire further, please reach out directly to Amanda.
STILL WE SING SERIES
The three-part series of devotionals provides a wonderful opportunity for your choir, community or congregation to sing, reconnect and find spiritual sustenance.
Find Peace: In the opening devotional, Amanda leads people on a journey to their individual and collective center. Together participants connect with their breath and learn songs of centering and peace.
Choosing Love: At this challenging time, we must choose love for ourselves and for one another. This devotional introduces songs that are about deep, unconditional love. We open ourselves to the ways we are called to bring love into the world.
Cultivating Joy: Even as we navigate difficult times, we can look for moments of joy! Experience joyful moments in community with exuberant singing and fun! We learn to keep our eyes wide open for glimmers of joy amidst challenges.
Choose the 3-part series, Still We Sing as it’s written, or have the experience tailored to your unique community. Some churches add a 4th week with a hymn sing, voice class or other optional workshops! Devotionals run between an hour and an hour and fifteen minutes. Dates and times of devotionals are chosen with individual churches.
